Biography

Irene holds a Master of Arts in Communication Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Sociology. She has several years of experience working with leading Kenyan dailies in editorial positions. Prior to joining the newsroom, Irene worked with various non-governmental organizations that champion human rights and gender empowerment. Irene specializes in critical journalism, global media & technology, gender & media studies, human rights and peace studies.
